Why we started with five
Established opened with five entries instead of one, on purpose. A single profile reads like a favor; five reads like the beginning of a pattern. The studios in this first batch span branding, paid media and SEO, and web design — different lanes, same stage: early, small, and specific about what they do.
The list will grow slowly rather than quickly. Each addition gets the same standard: a clear focus, real work to point to, and a founder who's still close enough to the beginning to remember what the first client actually felt like.

What "small on purpose" looks like
One studio in this collection caps its roster at seven clients. Not because it has to — because it decided that direct attention was worth more than a bigger number on a homepage. It's a useful reminder for any first-year studio: growth and scale aren't the same goal, and the choice not to scale can be the more disciplined move.
It's also, frankly, a better story than "we grew fast." Established is more interested in studios that can explain why they built things the way they did than ones that only have a revenue chart to show for it.

Notes on the LA studio scene
Los Angeles has no shortage of marketing agencies, but the interesting ones right now tend to be small and specific — a founder who left a bigger shop to work with a handful of clients directly, rather than another generalist agency competing on the same three services everyone already offers.
That's the gap Established is trying to document: not the agencies with the biggest logos on their homepage, but the ones still building their first version of what they do — while it's still worth writing down.
